Trail running at Gryphus Music Festival offers a unique way to experience the land that surrounds the music. Whether you’re getting in an early-morning run or shaking out your legs between shows, the trails provide a scenic, energizing break from the stage.

Designed for casual runners and seasoned trail athletes alike, Gryphus trail running is about movement, fresh air, and Texas terrain.

Our trail system winds through natural Texas landscapes, featuring a mix of open paths and shaded routes.

What to Expect:

  • Natural dirt and packed-earth trails

  • Rolling terrain with light elevation changes

  • Short and long loop options

  • Clearly marked routes

Trail maps and distances will be posted on-site.

Who Can Participate

  • Open to runners of most experience levels
  • An adult must accompany youth runners
  • Valid festival wristband required
  • No formal race or timed competition
  • This is a recreational, self-paced activity.

What to Bring

  • Proper trail running shoes
  • Hydration (refill stations available)
  • Sun protection
  • Identification and festival wristband

Safety & Trail Etiquette

To keep the trails safe and enjoyable for everyone:

  • Run within your ability
  • Stay on marked trails
  • Yield to hikers and bikers where applicable
  • No headphones at high volume
  • Follow all staff and posted instructions

Trails may close temporarily due to weather or safety conditions.
